Performance ShortboardsOur high performance shortboards range from 5'4" to 6'8". Click here to view the boards in the online shop. They all incorporate similarities in areas such as concaves, rail shapes, foiling's, foam distribution and fin set-ups. This allows the board to give you outstanding performance in critical waves. These boards are for surfers who are looking for state of the art curves/ concaves/ foilings/ bottom curves to take their surfing to the next level. For the younger crew, click here to check out the grom boards JP surfboards produce two types of performance shortboards the JPS1 and JPS2. The main difference is that the JPS1 has a narrower template from the mid point forward to the nose, enabling this board to turn more acutely off the bottom and the top. A drawback of this is that you might find it has slightly less paddle ability, so it's recommended for the guys who are really strong at paddling and want to have a board that can surf really tight in the pocket. There's also a slight difference in the rocker, where the exit rocker is more curvy rather than straight so it tends to lend itself to manoeuvrability - if you want to see the differences between the shapes of the boards, check out the 3D showroom link.
