Board Overview

The JP Sushi is a high-performance small wave board built to maximise speed, fun and manoeuvrability when the surf is less than perfect. Featuring a distinctive wing swallow tail and versatile 2+1 fin setup, the Sushi generates effortless speed in weaker waves while maintaining the control needed for progressive surfing, making it an essential addition to any quiver.

Features

Outline

A full outline with the wide point positioned forward of centre creates exceptional paddle power and down-the-line speed. The Sushi is designed to be ridden 2–4 inches shorter than your height, depending on your ability, without sacrificing projection or performance.

Rocker

A low entry and exit rocker maximises speed through flatter sections, while the refined bottom contours feature a reverse V through the nose, flowing into a single to double concave before finishing with a subtle V through the tail for smooth rail-to-rail transitions.

Rails

Full rails provide excellent flotation, speed and forgiveness, allowing the board to maintain momentum and release effortlessly in smaller, weaker surf.

Tail

The signature Wing Swallow Tail increases responsiveness and agility while delivering additional bite and control through turns, making the board lively and playful in everyday conditions.

Fins

Designed around a 2+1 (2.5) fin setup for maximum speed and drive in smaller waves. When the surf gets bigger, it can also be ridden as a Thruster for increased control and hold.
